Bodhi + Bear
"Bodhi" (literally translates to awakened, or path to enlightenment) + "Bear" (our spirit animal) was birthed out of an epiphany; our own personal illumination of what was needed in order to elevate our quality of life and our quality of care for ourselves.
The Bear energy in spiritual form represents courage and an ability to evolve and adapt.
Our Mission
At Bodhi Bear Apothecary we want you to experience life in a new light. We've created each product with purposeful intention and hope to encourage self-love rituals; reminding you to slow down and replenish. We hope that even in the simplest moments, these become the tools that lead you to healing, lead you to peace, and guide you to a new way of caring for yourself.
Our mission at Bodhi Bear Apothecary is to bring small businesses, families & other community focused projects together to find the most BALANCED way to live our lives at it’s best. Recognizing the importance of caring for ourselves mind, body, and soul.
And making time for those we value, especially if that person is ourselves - taking time to rest, reset and explore.
Doing it together - as likeminded individuals with similar goals, and imagining the positive impression that we can leave on our world.

Journey
In 2020, I wanted to explore beekeeping on my own. I had just moved into the rural woods of CT from NYC and I didn't know the first thing about bees and their care. I had been in the hospitality industry for nearly 20 years and worked as a Pastry Chef right until the moment when everything slowed down. All things nature related seemed both intimidating and exhilarating but I was ready to embark on a new adventure.
I read everything that I could possibly read on bees & beekeeping and I was ready to hear the buzz up close. But I never could've expected what would happen to my heart next. Upon visiting a variety of apiaries I found myself falling in love with the beekeepers and their family's stories!!! And the idea of starting my own hive and competing against them during a time when everything was difficult for us all just didn't seem right. So I decided to find a way where we could all work together, and build community instead.
We now collect honey from a variety of small, local farms across the Northeast/ New England (CT, NY,MA,NJ) . We blend them together to create our signature base and then we take it a step further by adding pure raw, Superfoods such as Tumeric, Matcha, Cacao, Elderberry, and Ginger. This provides the most optimum allergen defense and healing medicine of both raw honey and nutrient dense ingredients. The Cheffie in me still gets to play with flavors while keeping it healthy. A far cry from my favorite Hazelnut Dacquoise, but with a revitalized spirit in knowing we're doing something great together.
We are Woman/Mom owned and family run. We fill each jar with loving heartbeats full of sunshine and good intention and we take pride in what we do.
